One of the most outstanding cascading weeping maples. It is noted for the bright, orange-red new foliage in spring.
It manages to keep an orange flush on the leaves as they turn a rich red-green through the summer, turning fiery orange-red in the autumn.
Prefers cool, deep, light, moist soil. Would benefit from mulching and adequate summer watering.
Shelter from drying summer heat and wind. May benefit from light pruning in winter. Suitable for containers.
